Najimel

Desde hace creo más de un año que sigo a Najimel, seguro empezó con alguna reseña o simplemente esa gente que te encuentras en la red, te gusta lo que hace y de repente ya estás conectado en todas la redes sociales, no se, pero desde el primer momento quede encantado con lo que hacía.

Es esa mezcla de reconocer sus influencias, tener la sensación de que ya lo has visto, pero planteado de una manera diferente, el uso del tema de los pueblos originarios, sin caer en clichés, toda esa mezcla que hace su trabajo original, también reconociendo que hay un discurso, no un simple efectismo, recuerdo una noche hace unos meses navegando encuentro algo nuevo que hizo que me fascinó, inmediatamente le escribi diciendole que era mi ilustradora favorita de venezuela, tal vez una exageración del momento, también admiro mucho a otras ilustradoras venezolanas y no suelo tener favoritos en nada, porque cada persona es diferente, pero era una muestra de lo mucho que me llegaba su arte, y en ese momento era cierto, como lo es cada vez que publica algo nuevo.

En general no me interesa mucho quién está detrás del arte, pero eso es hasta que tienes la oportunidad de conocer al artista en persona, es importante el intercambio de ideas, nutrirse de lo que te puedan decir y enseñar, y quien sabe si Yo pueda aportar algo también, o mejor hacer alguna colaboración, pero Najimel es una persona muy reservada, creo que si la veía en la calle nunca la hubiera reconocido, y Yo respeto mucho eso, sobre todo acá en Venezuela que los artistas tienden mucho a poner su persona sobre sus trabajos. Pero hace poco tuve la oportunidad de conocerla y verla trabajando en vivo, tambien tuve el privilegio de poder fotografiarla, una chica encantadora.

Veo una rápida evolución en sus ilustraciones, lo que hace digitalmente y en pintura, murales, algunos productos con su arte, en muy poco tiempo tiene largo camino recorrido, ahora muero de ganas de que colaboremos en algún proyecto, espero que pronto.

Is that mixture of recognize influences, having the feeling that you’ve seen before, but proposed in a different way, using the subject of indigenous peoples, without falling into clichés, all that mix does her work original, also recognizing that there is a speech, not a mere effectism, I remember one night a few months ago surfing the web find something new that made ​​me fascinated, immediately wrote her saying that she was my favorite venezuelan illustrator, perhaps an exaggeration of the moment, I also really admire other venezuelan illustrators, I don’t have favorites in anything, because every person is different, but was a sign of how much I came her art, and at that time it was true, as it is every time she publish something new.

In general I don’t care much who is behind the art, but that’s until you have the chance to meet the artist in person, it’s important to exchange ideas, draw on what they can say and teach, and who knows if I can contribute with something too, or better do some collaboration, but Najimel is a very private person, I think if I saw her on the street I had never recognized her, and I respect that, especially here in Venezuela that artists tend much to put their person about their work. But recently I had the chance to meet her and see her working live, I also had the privilege of photograph her, is such a lovely girl.

I see a fast evolution in their artwork, digitally and painting, murals, some products with their art, in a short time has long road traveled, now I can not wait for us to collaborate on a project, hopefully soon.
