One of the great things about the internet and social networking is to follow and interact with your favorite artists, but is much better when through the web can meet them in person, that happened to me a few months ago when I met the talented russian illustrator Evgeny Kiselev here in Buenos Aires. Evgeny was visiting the city with his lovely girlfriend Lucia, escaping from the harsh winter in St. Petersburg and enjoying the summer in the south, was a great and pleasant surprise when he communicate with me.
I have followed the work of Evgeny since a couple of years, I had seen some of his work on Behance, and quickly I began to follow him in all the social networks that I’m registered. I love his illustrations, have a very own style, remember me the old russian psychedelic animations that I saw when was a child.
Meet him and talk about their way of working was very inspiring, besides being one of the most cool people I met, we create a good friendship, and we enjoy very good meetings and dinners, at home and in his home, that was right here in San Telmo, and making a trip to Tigre, are really very nice people.
Here I give you some of Evgeny Kiselev, a selection of his personal work and some of the illustration for Computer Arts Magazine. It was a great inspiration to meet him, hope someday to have the quality of their artwork.

Una de las grandes cosas de internet y las redes sociales es poder seguir e interactuar con tus artistas favoritos, pero es mucho mejor cuando a través de la red puedes conocerlos en persona, lo que me paso hace unos meses cuando conocí al talentoso ilustrador ruso Evgeny Kiselev acá en Buenos Aires, Evgeny estuvo de visita con su adorable novia Lucia, huyendo del duro invierno de San Petersburgo y disfrutando el verano del sur, fue una gran y agradable sorpresa cuando se comunico conmigo.
Yo he seguido el trabajo de Evgeny desde hace un par de años, había visto algunas de sus cosas en Behance, y en poco tiempo empece a seguirlo en todas las redes sociales en que estoy inscrito. Sus ilustraciones me encantan, tienen un estilo muy propio, me recuerdan las viejas animaciones rusas psicodélicas que veía cuando niño.
Conocerlo y conversar sobre su manera de trabajar fue muy inspirador, ademas de ser una de las personas mas buena onda que he conocido, pudimos crear una buena amistad, y disfrutar de muy buenas cenas y reuniones, en mi casa y en su casa que estaba acá mismo en San Telmo, ademas de hacer un viaje a Tigre, realmente personas muy agradables.
